You use SEER to observe and improve your AI systems. We provide the service reliably and keep your data secure. You own your data. We never sell it or use it to train our own models. You pay for your plan. Either of us can end the relationship with notice. If something goes wrong, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the past 3 months. The full detail is below — written as clearly as we could.
These Terms of Service apply to anyone who creates a SEER account or uses the SEER API, dashboard, SDKs, or any other part of our service ("the Service"). "You" refers to you as an individual, or to the company on whose behalf you are signing up. "We", "us", and "our" refer to Cadence Labs Limited.
By creating an account or making an API call, you are agreeing to these terms. If you are signing up on behalf of a company, you are confirming that you have the authority to bind that company to these terms.
SEER is an AI observability API. When you call seer.observe(), SEER records metadata about your model call — things like latency, token count, cost, and quality signals — and returns an analysis alongside your model's normal response. SEER also provides a dashboard, webhooks, and a recommendation engine for improving your AI systems over time.
SEER does not host or run AI models. It analyses the calls you make to third-party providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Mistral. You are responsible for your own agreements with those providers.
You must provide accurate information when you create your account. You are responsible for keeping your API keys secure. Do not share keys, and do not embed them in public code repositories. If a key is compromised, revoke it immediately from your dashboard and create a new one.
You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. If someone else uses your key — even without your permission — the activity is attributed to your account until you revoke the key.
Accounts are for one company or individual. You may not resell access to SEER under your own account without our written permission. The white-label Scale plan is the right option if you want to offer SEER capabilities to your own customers.
You may use SEER to observe, monitor, evaluate, and improve AI systems that you own or are authorised to operate. You may not use SEER to:
We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these rules. We will usually give notice and a chance to fix the issue first, unless the violation is severe.
You own your data. The metadata and content you send to SEER belongs to you. We do not sell it, share it with third parties for their commercial purposes, or use it to train any AI model — ours or anyone else's.
By default, SEER records metadata about your model calls (latency, token counts, cost, quality scores) but does not store the raw prompt text or completion text. If you opt into full content recording for deeper semantic analysis, that content is stored encrypted and processed only to generate quality scores and recommendations for your account.
We retain call records for the duration of your plan's audit window (7 days on Starter, 90 days on Growth, custom on Scale). After that window, records are deleted unless you have specifically requested extended retention.
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. Your billing period starts on the day you upgrade from the free tier. Payments are processed securely via Stripe. We do not store your full card details.
If a payment fails, we will email you and retry for 7 days. If payment still cannot be collected, your account moves to the free tier limits. Your data is retained for 30 days, giving you time to update your payment method and restore full access.
We do not offer refunds for partial months if you downgrade or cancel mid-period. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. If we make a pricing mistake that significantly overcharges you, we will correct it and refund the difference promptly.
We aim to keep SEER available continuously. For Growth plan customers, we target 99.9% uptime. For Scale plan customers, we guarantee 99.95% uptime with a formal SLA. If we fall below the committed uptime in a given month, we will credit your account.
SEER is designed so that its availability does not affect your AI calls. If SEER is unreachable, your model calls still complete normally — SEER's analysis is simply skipped for those calls. You are never blocked.
We perform maintenance and upgrades occasionally, usually between 2am and 4am UTC on weekdays. We will give at least 48 hours notice for any planned maintenance that may cause interruption.
SEER, the Cadence Labs name and logo, and all elements of the service — including the intelligence engine, the dashboard, and the SDK code — are owned by Cadence Labs and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works without our written permission.
Any feedback, bug reports, or suggestions you give us can be used by us to improve the service without any obligation to you. We appreciate the input.
You can cancel your account at any time from your dashboard. There are no cancellation fees. On cancellation, you keep access until the end of your paid period, then your account moves to read-only for 30 days so you can export any data you need. After that, your account and its data are deleted.
We can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or if we determine that continued access poses a risk to the service or to other users. In most cases we will give notice first and an opportunity to resolve the issue. In cases of serious misuse, we may act immediately.
If we decide to shut down SEER entirely, we will give at least 90 days notice and provide a full data export.
SEER is provided as-is. We work hard to keep it reliable and accurate, but we cannot guarantee that the quality scores, anomaly detection, or recommendations will always be correct. They are signals to help your team make decisions, not guarantees of outcome.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to SEER is limited to the amount you have paid us in the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages — for example, lost revenue or data, even if we were advised such losses were possible.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything that cannot be limited by law.
We may update these terms occasionally. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and email you at least 14 days before the changes take effect. If you continue using SEER after the effective date, you are accepting the updated terms. If you do not agree with a change, you can cancel before the effective date with no penalty.
Questions about these terms? Email us at . We respond within 2 business days.
